So you are looking for inspiration for a French minimalist capsule for summer 2022? You have come to the right place. Keep Colours Simple

To make any outfit look classic and stylish and to recreate that Parisian feel, keep colours neutral and to a minimum. Cream, soft pink, ivory, beige, black, white and navy work really well.

For A French Minimalist Look Stick To Tailoring

For the most part choose tailored pieces. However, be aware avoid the oversized options which are everywhere at the moment. They will look outdated very quickly and suit very few body shapes. For timeless, French style you want tailoring that fits you.

Colours In A French Minimalist Outfit

In each outfit keep the colours to under three. One to two colours with a highlight colour often for accessories works best. Stick to black, beige, ivory, cream, cognac or navy accessories.

Fabrics For A French Minimalist Outfit

Linen, cotton, silk and satin work brilliantly for a French inspired outfit. Choose mainly natural fabrics if possible. The reason these work best is because they catch the light differently. Unless of course you are trying to create a monochromatic look with different textures then satin is a great choice worn with cotton or linen.

Monochromatic French Minimalist Style

An outfit in black and white, or navy and ivory always looks timeless. Team it with a colourful neck scarf if you want to add a splash of another shade.

French Minimalist Outfits That Are Not Tailored

If it is hot, and tailoring feels like it will be too close to your body, choose soft floaty fabrics like this jumpsuit. Imagine a holiday in Monaco by the beach. Keep the colours simple with neutral, light shades.
